Cleaning and Deodorizing Garbage Disposals

Garbage disposals can get odors even if ran daily.
Here are a few tips to help keep yours fresher.
Be sure to run it after washing dishes to keep any food from sitting, thus causing odors.
Once in a while drop a quartered lemon, or any citrus works well, into the disposal and run for 30 seconds.
Also, putting some baking soda down the drain and letting it sit for a while,even overnight, will help to freshen and remove odors.
