An Aga cooker is a gas-fueled cooking oven that uses non-drying heat to properly cook the food. This unit is very efficient in storing power wherein the heat starts from the core and goes to its hotplates so that meals can be cooked well.
Here are some tips to follow in cleaning:
- Prepare all the necessary materials for cleaning. Get a brush, clean rag or damp cloth, basin and dishwashing soap. This will save time and effort in cleaning.
- Remove the hard stain caused by food spilling during cooking from the hotplates and oven by using a brush or a plain cloth. Scrub them off until removed.
- Wipe the debris using a rag or damp cloth.
- Using a basin, fill it with water and add dishwashing soap to make soapy water. Get the brush and soak it in the soapy water. Start cleaning the oven’s surface but don’t scrub it too much to prevent scratches and damages to the enamel.
- Soak a cloth in the basin filled with soapy water for cleaning the oven doors and the sides. Carefully lift the doors to clean all angles. But don’t immerse it in water.
- Include the handrails using same cloth that is soaked into the soapy water. Get another wet cloth and wipe off soap residue until it is completely removed.
- In cleaning the rings, any damp cloth can be used and wipe each ring until dirt is removed. But remember to place back the rings in its position after cleaning.
- In case there is still dirt and food stains on the other parts of the oven just simply use any damp towel, put some liquid soap when needed and wipe it all the way.
- Continue to wipe all angles and sides of the oven using a clean rag or cloth to make it look shiny.
We should take good care of our kitchen cookware so it can be use for a longer period of time. Cleaning the Aga cooker wouldn’t be a problem anymore with the easy cleaning steps mentioned above. Any spills of liquids like milk, juices or any beverages can be cleansed using a wet cloth.
