Awning windows normally involved large sashes that are composed of pane glass surrounded with metal framing. In cleaning awning windows, these are the steps that should be followed:
- Clean the glass with soft broom to get the cobwebs or dust within the surface in the pane glass and to its frame.
- After that, get a pail with half of water inside and a clean cloth.
- Put a detergent soap in the water and mixed it until bubbles and foamy appears.
- Soak the clean cloth in the water until detergent soap absorbs.
- After that, wipe the cloth slowly in the frame of the awning window in order to get any stains cause by dust.
- Then, get a newspaper and soak it for a while with the detergent.
- Wipe the glass pane using the soak newspaper to make the glass clear and smooth.
- Get another pail of clean water. Wash the cloth until detergent soap is gone.
- Wipe the clean cloth in the awning window frames.
- Allow then the awning window to dry by itself through the air that passes to it.
- Check the windows if it is dry already after a minute.
- Wipe it again with a dry cloth to make it cleaner and dirt free.
Awning Windows should always be maintained clean to make it last. Make it a habit to clean awning windows once a week then.
