Here are the steps in cleaning your Aztek Airbrush:
- If you see excessive paint on the airbrush, you have to clean it immediately to make sure that it will not dry. Put the airbrush to its maximum spray configuration. Spray the unnecessary paint into a dirty cloth or rag. Get your solvent cleaner and pour it into the airbrush. Spray it and continue doing it until the spray became clear and plain. Afterwards, put water into the airbrush and spray it for half minutes or until you are sure that there are no more solvent cleaner residues.
- When cleaning the color bottles and cups, you have to disassemble them first. Afterwards, soak them in a cleaner or solvent and let it stay there for the whole night. Rinse them thoroughly using warm water.
- To clean the needle and the nozzle, detach it from the airbrush first. For twenty minutes, immerse them into a container that has a cleaning product for window cleaner. You can use acrylic solvent cleaner if the paint dried already. Seal the container tightly and after twenty minutes, shake it to remove the dried paint.
- To start cleaning the nozzle housing, you have to insert the end of the brush of the cleaning tool of Aztek into the nozzle’s housing. Rotate the brush in full circle and then remove it. Afterwards, blow the loose paints that formed clumps.
- You also need to clean the port of the paint cup. To do this, use the long bar cleaning tool to remove first the blanking plug found on the cup port. Put the cleaning brush inside the port. Rotate the brush and then take it out afterwards.
After cleaning the airbrush, make sure that you reassemble its parts correctly. Be careful when disassembling and reattaching the components of the airbrush.
