Circulon pans come in high-low grooves that help keep greasy substances and oils away from your cooked food. Cleaning after cooking is a general rule in all cookwares. It is important to keep it clean so as to prevent food debris and grease at the grooves low points. Cleaning circulon pans is easy and the cleaning tools are merely found at home.
The things that you will need are clean towel, big bucket or container, mild liquid soap, warm water, soft nylon brush or soft cotton cloth or sponge and white vinegar.
Here are the important steps in cleaning circulon pans:
- Gather the necessary materials for cleaning. Get a big bucket or container. Make sure that it is large enough to cover your circulon pan as this will be used for soaking.
- Pour in warm tap water into your pan and add your mild liquid detergent. Mix the solution properly with your hands.
- Immerse your cooking pan inside your warm soapy solution. Let it soak for 10 to 15 minutes. This method will help loosen dirt particles that penetrate your circulon pan.
- After soaking, get a soft cotton cloth or a sponge and dip it into your warm soapy solution.
- Scrub the entire grooves of the circulon pan. Pay particular attention to areas with food debris. You can also use a soft nylon brush in scrubbing out dirt particles. Use small circular motion is scrubbing the surface of your pan.
- The outer portion of your pan is lustrous. Make certain to use a soft cotton cloth or sponge in brushing the outer portion to prevent scratch marks.
- Rinse your pan with warm water as cold water may not be effective in removing greasy substances that sticks to your cook ware.
- Wipe your pan with an old towel immediately after rinsing. Water residue may affect the non sticking ability of your cook ware.
- Allow to completely dry for several minutes and place it back to its proper place.
- For trapped food debris, mix in warm water and white vinegar into a glass bowl. Pour the vinegar solution into your circulon pan.
- Turn on your stove and allow the vinegar solution to boil for 5 to 10 minutes to smoothen debris and aids removal of food grease.
- Allow the vinegar solution to cool down and apply a soft nylon brush in scrubbing the surface of pan especially the grooves.
- Rinse your cook ware with warm water. Use a sponge and mild soap in cleaning the pan to remove vinegar smell on the surface.
- Rinse again with warm water and wipe your pan with a clean towel.
- Allow the circulon pan to completely dry before putting it back in place.
Avoid using abrasive cleaning solutions in keeping your circulon pan clean as this can destroy its non stick ability and can permanently damage your pan. You can also use a paste of baking soda and water in removing food debris from the grooves of your pan.
