The materials that you will need are the following:
- Damp cloth or small rag
- Acetone or nail polish remover
- Alcohol
- Curling iron
- Cotton balls
- Oven cleaner (optional)
Steps:
- Unplug your curling iron and wait for it to cool down or else you will burn your hands.
- Pour a small amount of alcohol to your damp cloth or rag just enough to make it wet not completely soak.
- If your curling hairs do have clips, press the clipper to clean it also.
- Get your damp cloth with alcohol and let it travel smoothly unto the iron. This can help in removing the remaining hair spray residues from your iron.
- Repeat if necessary.
- In a piece of cotton ball, apply small amount of acetone. This can help you remove the unnecessary spray residues that might still be on the iron. Run it smoothly to your iron.
- After that, get your damp cloth and wet it with warm water. This can remove the chemical of the nail polish remover you just applied.
- You can also use an oven cleaner too to make it shinier.
- After applying over cleaner, remove the solution from your iron using a clean cloth.
