Cleaning Tips, Carpet Cleaning and Cleaning Business Information
Cleaning cymbals won’t damage your instrument as it only removes tiny dirt particles. The element that is removed upon proper cleaning is dirty and oxidized. However, most people don’t take cleaning cymbal a necessity. But if you want your cymbal to appear shiny and extend its life, then it is beneficial to know the cleaning process.
The things that you will need are large bucket (large enough for soaking cymbals), liquid soap, commercial cymbal cleaner, cymbal polisher, 2 cotton cloth and water.
Avoid using a wire brush in cleaning cymbals as this can scratch your piece. Use a nylon brush for stubborn dirt with soaking method. Furthermore, wipe your cymbals with a clean cotton cloth after using. This makes your cleaning task easier. You can apply the above procedures once a month to maintain a shiny and clean appearance of your cymbals. Avoid using strong chemicals as this can permanently damage your piece.
