How to Clean Emeril Cookware

The things that you will need are plastic bowl for the cleaning paste, powdered dish cleaner, warm water, bucket, sponge or soft cotton cloth or soft scrub brush and dry towel.

Here are the important steps in cleaning Emeril cookware:

  • For emeril stainless steel or pro-clad cookware, soak the cookware in a large container with warm water.
  • Get a plastic bowl and pour in few amounts of water and powdered dish cleaner. Mix it properly to form a paste and apply it around the surface of your cookware using a soft cotton cloth or a sponge.
  • Rinse your cookware with warm running water and wipe it with a dry towel. Allow it to dry for several minutes and store it properly.
  • For enamel cast iron and pre-seasoned cast iron, immerse the cookware in a bucket with warm water.
  • Use a soft scrub brush in removing food and oil residue onto the cookware. Avoid using soap in cleaning enamel cast iron and pre-seasoned cast iron as soap can remove its innate coating.
  • Rinse the cookware with warm running water and allow it to dry thoroughly.
  • For hard anodized and hard enamel cookware, soak them in warm water to loosen oil and food residue.
  • Add few amount of mild liquid detergent using a sponge.
  • Scrub the soiled surface of your cookware. Pay particular attention to hard food residue.
  • Rinse your cookware with running water and wipe it with a clean dry cloth to prevent water spots.

Do not use hard cleaning solution in removing food debris and oil residue onto your cookware as this can permanently damage your piece. Make sure to dry your cookware thoroughly before storing them to avoid water spots.
