If you spill nail polish on your carpet, reach for the nail polish remover. Put some remover on a cotton ball and blot (don't rub) the polish up until it disappears. Next, blot the area with a moist wash cloth to remove the nail polish residue. Next time you are painting your nails, put a piece of newspaper under you.
